Position: R&D Mechanical Engineer        Position type: Full-time     Start date: Immediate opening

​

The focus of this position is assisting the engineering team in the development of the Cremmjoy soft serve and frozen beverage technology. Cremmjoy machines eliminate the disassembly, cleaning, and sanitizing required for all other machines on the market.

​

This is a hands-on, multidisciplinary position that requires skill in virtually all mechanical engineering core competencies, including machine design, thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, sound and vibration, dynamics, manufacturing technology, tribology, and experimental methods.  Competency with electrical and electromechanical systems is preferred. Candidates should be able to work well independently and in a team environment.

 

Typical job duties include:

  • Designing and 3-D modeling of system or product parts and assemblies.

  • Generate 2-D engineering drawings and overseeing fabrication of system components.

  • Fabricating prototypes using CNC and manual machining, and 3-D printing.

  • Design and setup of experimental systems.

  • Laboratory testing and data analysis.

  • Engineering analysis.

  • Electromechanical systems and control.

  • Sourcing components and working with vendors.


Ideal candidate qualifications:

  • Permanent U.S. work authorization required

  • 3+ years experience (entry-level candidates considered)

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree in mechanical engineering.

  • Experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred, FEA, and CFD.

  • Experience with laboratory testing of machines and equipment, including thermal systems and refrigeration technology.

  • Familiarity with data acquisition and laboratory instrumentation such as pressure transducers, proximity probes, thermocouples, and torque sensors.

  • Strong analytical and hands-on skills.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods and processes.
